If you were on a desert island with a sewing machine, an iron and unlimited amounts of fabric… (pause, just imagine it for a second! Sounds good right?!… ok, back to real life…) Which essential items would you choose to put in your sewing box?
Answer: I’d choose 16 things, and they are all in my latest Bluprint post! Find out if your desert island list matches mine…
Sew, what do you think? What have I missed that you would have included?
scissors, 2 rotary cutter, thread, rulers rulers, pins, glasses to see, my safety glove, marking pencil, regular pencil, templates, small cutting mat, generator, quarter inch ruler, seam ripper and my ipad.
Good call on the glasses and safety glove – wow, and a generator and ipad. Yikes. I guess I wouldn’t get very far on my list. I’d have to set up some sort of electrical plant first!
I would also include buttons and zippers I guess. And my laptop with patterns. And a glue stick and iron! As you can sew, there has te be electricity, so you would be able to iron to! 😉
Ps. last time I commented it was about languages. As you know English is a foreign language to me. So at first I tought: ‘Desert Island, isn’t that to hot to sew?’ But it is, of course not a desert (as in much sand and heat) but a uninhabited island 🙂
Hee Hee Mirjam – so good. It would be hot. You’re right. Didn’t think of that! Eeek. Can’t believe I forgot the glue stick! Yikes!
