This giveaway is courtesy of Sew Sisters Quilt Shop. Their booth at Creativ Festival is always a favorite stop of mine. It’s fun to pet their giant fat quarter baskets and pick some things I’ve never seen and suddenly need to stash! I’m part of their Colour Wheel Solids Club and my kids love guessing what colour has arrived before I open it. We’ve worked together to make the Double-Gauze Hooded Swaddle Blanket and Play ‘n Snuggle Mini Blanket tutorials. Great afternoon projects for your baby or a gift!
“Sew Sisters Quilt Shop is a Canadian Quilt Store dedicated to all things quilting. Whether shopping online or in person at our store in Toronto our goal is to provide you with excellent service and offer top quality products at the best possible price. We have a large selection of quilting fabric, patterns, books and notions – everything you need to complete your unique quilts! Be sure to check out our ever growing Sale Section with over 500 bolts of fabric for $8.99/metre or less. Shipping within Canada is free on orders over $100! We hope to see you soon! ” ~ Sew Sisters Quilt Shop

Judy’s Favorite Sewing Tool
My favorite tool is the Bohin Mechanical Chalk Pencil. I couldn’t do without it! The chalk is water soluble and easy to erase with water or a fabric eraser. The fine ceramic leads provide precise, crisp lines so it works well for intricate marking and it comes in an easy to use mechanical pencil with an eraser! It’s the best marking tool!

Sew Sisters is giving away a $50 Gift Certificate! Yippee for the winner, who can order whatever they would like to have – better get over to their shop and start planning, right?!

This giveaway is courtesy of Country Clothesline. This shop is the prettiest one, if I’m allowed to pick! Their shop is my oldest’s favorite, and she always comes away from their booth with something gorgeous. One of my most popular tutorials started with Country Clothesline – the Pretty Floral Divided Tote was inspired by their shop last spring! We also worked together to create these Christmas Ornament placemats. Their uniquely curated shop is the only one like it that I’ve found in Canada – I easily get lost in there. Plus, owner Sylvia is gracious and kind, so nice to work with. She has some really exciting news to share with you – read on!
“At Country Clothesline our shelves are full of Fresh & Pretty 100% Premium Quality Cotton Fabrics – Our carefully curated collection is where you will find fabrics that combine a vintage vibe with a fresh, modern feel. Sweet florals, bright dots, retro ginghams and many more – think farmhouse kitchens, gardens full of peonies and wildflowers, sunshine filled picnics, white washed walls, comfy chairs with quilts to snuggle under and the country breezes that run through our clotheslines…
Through our Canadian online shop, we provide personalized and fast service to you wherever you are in the world; shipping right to your door as quickly as we can.
And we have exciting news for our customers in the Toronto, Ontario area – we are opening a Showroom Space where you will be able to come and shop in person!! Situated in the east end of the city this special space will be packed with gorgeous fabrics for you to choose for yourself. And the added bonus is this exciting project is in partnership with Fabricspark another fabulous Canadian online fabric shop. Double the fabric, double the choice, double the fun!! Stay tuned for more details…” ~ Country Clothesline

My favourite sewing tool is on my Pfaff Quilt Expression Machine – it is the automatic scissors button! Love this feature!! |

Country Clothesline is giving away this Fat Quarter bundle with a mix of her favorite florals. (See, I told you her fabric was pretty!) Just think of all the summery goodness you could make with these!

Welcome to Thanks to YOU Week – Giveaway No. 6! I’m so grateful that you follow this blog. Come back to enter each of the 14 giveaways! (Find out more, link to all of the giveaways and follow along so you don’t miss anything!)
This giveaway is courtesy of Meerkat Shweshwe. This shop sells authentic South African shweshwe fabric. Lovely soft and durable cotton fabrics in so many great prints and colourways! To hear more about this unique shop you can read this interview with owner Céleste. The fabric is really nice to use quilts, bags and clothing alike. I worked with Meerkat Shweshwe to write two tutorials – How to Draft a Pinafore in any Size, and How to Sew a Reversible Pinafore. My youngest loves to wear it, and it’s a great every-season piece. Plus, little girls look so cute in them!
There’s an exciting event coming up this weekend! Céleste and I will both be presenting talks at Quilts at the Creek in Toronto’s Black Creek Pioneer Village on July 23 and 24. She will be presenting “The Shweshwe Saga – the Bolt and the Beautiful” and I will be presenting a trunk show called “Be Brave and Sew” – similar, but different from my spring Creativ Festival talk! We’d both love to see you there.
“Shweshwe, the “Tartan of South Africa” is super for garments, home decor or quilting. Besides shipping worldwide, I also offer pick up for customers who live close by and want to visit lovely Elora to collect their orders personally. Visit my retail store or for wholesale orders, visit our main site” ~ Meerkat Shweshwe

Céleste’s Favorite Sewing Tool
I love using my wooden seam presser when piecing with Shweshwe: I can press seams at the sewing machine without using the iron. The 100% cotton fabric responds so well to all manipulation.

Meerkat Shweshwe is giving away these Fat Quarter Bundles to a lucky winner – 3 metres of fabric in total! These bundles are created from the Cream of the Crop, Hot Ice 4, All Gold 4 prints. Not sure about you, but these are calling my name for sure! I’m so excited to be able to give them away to one of you.

This giveaway is courtesy of Stay Home Fabrics. This shop has been a great source for my fusible fleece and KAM snaps. Plus fabric of course! I also worked with them to create a tutorial for this extra-large Quilted dish mat and Scalloped Edge Charm Pack mini quilt. They are also one of the only online shops I know of that is located in Saskatchewan – great and faster shipping for everyone there!
“This website is dedicated to providing Canadians with access to affordable designer fabrics, quilting kits, project kits, and patterns. My goal is to support you in designing your project and finding the perfect fabrics to make your design a reality. Coming this fall will be a massive inventory clear out to make room for new fabrics, please watch our Facebook page for more details. 🙂” ~ Stay Home Fabrics
Lisa’s Favorite Sewing Tool
My favourite sewing tool would have to be my Wonder Clips! I am notorious for poking myself with pins so these have made my sewing much less painful 😉

Stay Home Fabrics is giving away a Quarter Metre bundle of Elixer fabrics! I love these blues and magentas – such a great bundle to play with. It’s from Camelot, a Canadian fabric distributor too!

Today’s giveaway is courtesy of Fabric Spark. I have worked with this shop so much I don’t even know where to start. They have been a huge supporter of this blog and I can’t thank them enough! Their stock is always inspiring and I love finding yet-another “favorite” in the shop. Some of my favorite projects are a Wee Gallery baby quilt, my Carolyn Friedlander Herringbone table runner and the Spring Charming throw pillow that lives in constant use on our couch.
“Fabric Spark is dedicated to making it easy and fun for fabric lovers to find the most inspiring, beautiful, effective and clever fabrics available. And (drumroll) we’re super excited to be partnering with Country Clothesline to start doing that in person. Coming soon, we are opening a showroom space in Toronto for all of our wonderful local fabric lovers to come and shop in person. We’re spending the summer getting ready so watch for updates and news at fabricspark.com and countryclothesline.ca” ~ Fabric Spark
Daryl’s Favorite Sewing Tool
I sew like a cook, without a lot of extra tools or gadgets, but I couldn’t do without my super powerful, always perfect and most beautiful pair of scissors. They’re from Kai and they were expensive, but sometimes you need to pay more and not look back. I don’t sell them, this isn’t a plug, I just love them.

Fabric Spark is giving away a Half Yard bundle of Eternal Sunshine fabrics! So the winner get 3 total yards of Amy Butler goodness. Love, Love these! They’d be so amazing as a scrap quilt – or really anything else for that matter – even stashed on your prettiest shelf so you can pet them every once in a while!
